In continuation with winter scenes this is more of an abstract painting of a frozen lake. This painting reminds me of the weeks during Christmas vacation my sister and I spent as kids ice skating on the frozen slough behind our family farm. The slough was a marshy like backwater area of the Chippewa River with trees surrounding. The best skating times were after those freezing winter rains where the ice would freeze with a beautiful glass-like smooth layer on top, but mostly the ice was layered with snow and still quite enjoyable. This painting is made on a 6x8 flat panel canvas and is for sale in my Etsy shop.
